You can see the distinctive Pinotage leaf with its toothlike indentation, and look at those plump healthy grapes.
This vineyard is not in South Africa, so can you guess where in the world are they growing?

Italy?
ReplyDeleteHi Douglas
ReplyDeleteNo, not Italy...
Australia - Victoria?
ReplyDeleteGood guess, Colin. Oz nurseries have Pinotage vines for sale but I don't know of anyone growing it yet. So, its not in Oz.
ReplyDeleteOn the North island of New Zealand?
ReplyDeleteHi Colin
ReplyDeleteIt could be because they make excellent Pinotage in New Zealand, but this vineyard is not there.
This vineyard is in a place that has never grown Pinotage before
I was just up in Canada and had some Pinotage at the Hillside Estates winery. Could the picture be from there?
ReplyDeleteHi Teri
ReplyDeleteGood guess -- right continent, but wrong country. I've never tasted Canadian Pinotage but there are several wines made in BC now, and a young vineyard in Ontario.
North Carolina
ReplyDeleteNever would have guessed NC in a million years..............
